Application Settings
Use the PC Client's settings window to change the applications default behavior based on your needs. You can get to the settings window from the Options menu item under the File menu. Following is a list of the different application settings you may want to change:
 | Start MeCanto when the computer starts - When this is checked the MeCanto PC Client will automatically start when windows starts. Please note that this will only work if your windows is configured to log on automatically or after you manually log on when windows starts. |
| Automatically login when MeCanto starts - When this is checked the MeCanto PC Client will log in to your MeCanto Account and start uploading your music automatically when it starts. |
| Limit upload speed to ... - When this is checked the MeCanto PC Client will limit the upstream bandwidth used for uploading your music. It is usually good practice to limit this to a value at least a few K's below your internet connections maximal upload bandwidth. |
Running PC Client on multiple computers
If you have music stored on more than one computer you may want to install the PC Client application on each of those computers. Once configured and logged in all PC Client applications will start uploading your music to your MeCanto Account. The MeCanto servers controlling the upload will make sure that the same file won't be uploaded twice if you have it on more than one computer so you don't have to worry about wasting precious upload time.
